PA loudspeaker with Bandmaster??

IS it alright to drive a PA speaker with a horn and a normal speaker with a guitar amp. I believe the Bandmaster is 40 watts.I love the sound, it's huge with this speaker.The ohms match up, the cab is 8 ohms.

I wouldn't. You might blow the speaker and/or tweeter. Guitar speakers tend to be heavier duty than stereo and PA speakers. Lew

i blew a 400 watt pa speaker with my bass, using a 2000 watt qsc power amp though.

it depends. Some PA speakers can handle a whopping 800 watts. Check out the rating of that thing, a bandmaster is 40 watts, an 80 watt guitar speaker could handle it easily, not to mention a 200 watt+ PA speaker.

hmmmm, this is a problem.


I'll have to check it out, even though I don't know how. It's an old, weird Cerwin Vega cab for PA. They're still in business, but I don't know the model.
