Paf Pro in a Les Paul, anyone?

I really liked the sound of a paf pro in a guitar I onced owned (JS1000) but that being a basswood body and the Les Paul being a heavy weight mahagony, how does the paf pro sound in a lester? I`m talking neck position only.

it can be moved later, but i think the paf pro is a little one demensional. it sounds okay, but there are better pickuos for the neck of an lp.

That's weird, I've heard that the PAF Pro's are VERY versatile in the neck, BUT then again, it depends what guitar they are in and the amp someone is playing...Can someone elaborate on this???

Pearly Gates for the neck. In a LP, the PAF Pro doesn't even compare. :burnout:

There is a guy on the forum...Erik?...who went through a lot of pickups and ended up with the PAF Pro in his LP bridge slot.

On a Les Paul, I'd rather get the Paf Joe. It sounds better in clean sounds and more articulate in overdriven ones.

That said, the SD '59 and/or Jazz would be my first choices for a Les Paul neck pick-up.
