Ive heard that in those few years when gibson was making the pafs they changed slightly (like magnet size, ect.). Does anyone know these changes, the years that they were in, and what affects these have on tone?

the paf's ive seen have all been 7-8k with one or two exceptions being a little hotter. these were all from 1957-1959. a friend of a friend has an 8.5k '58 that sounds fantastic!! sounds a2 to me.
i thought the magnet size getting smaller happened later 60's but i dont know.
a smaller magnet will give a touch less output and a little less low mids
