Parallel axis humbuckers with A2 mag?

I have got a set of Patb-1 pickups coming. I had them in the past and like them, but always thought they a bit on the hot side. I've got a couple of A2 mags....anyone tried them in the axis pickups? Should lower the output some but does it change the tone a lot?

i put an a2 in my patb3 and i liked what it did. softer top, warmer mids, less bottom... what youd expect
