Re: Parker Guitars (Parker FLY)
I have the Parker Nightfly Mojo - mahogany body, bolt-on neck, so heavier than the fly and less rigid BUT it has the same fingerboard material, glued on frets, carbon fiber neck wrap and trem. It came stock with JB/Jazz combo and Fishman piezo. A VERY playable guitar. A few years back I took to it with a router and installed a Graphtech Ghost preamp and Hexpander, essentially giving it full Midi capability.
I have some mag swaps to do on the pickups (or complete swaps if they don't work - I'm leaning hard toward the 59/custom for the bridge, which I have in another bolt on and it screams).
I'm a big fan, but I have to say that I took it to practice once and our drummer said immediately, "don't ever bring that to a gig".
