Hey guys. My wife found what I believe is a Parker PM24V for sale. It's a guy she works with. They're asking $250. It has Duncans I just don't know which yet.

Is this a good deal?

Thanks!

Re: Parker PM24V

Thanks guys! Gonna go check it out tonight and most likely bring it home.

Yes! It's actually a PM 24 Pro. Duncans (JB/Jazz), Piezo and locking tuners.

I really the Piezo on the Parker P-36 that I had. That was a Tele version and while it was a different style guitar I thought it had an awesome range of tones!

Re: Parker PM24V

Yeah, piezos are cool. I have a music man JP6 with the piezo. It sounds awesome.

I've never really heard anything negative about Parker guitars so I'm optimistic about this one. You'll know later tonight if I get it.

Re: Parker PM24V

nice score! I didn't understand what you were even hesitating for, you wife wasn't against you getting another guitar too which was a huge plus LOL

LOL! She actually bought it for me and my recent Les Paul too. She's the opposite of those other wives.

I plugged it into the 800 last night and it sounds great. I had to lower the action and will be cleaning it up and putting on new strings.

The JB sounds fantastic. No mush and no harsh tone. The Jazz is also killer. I might take the hex screws from the Full Shred and put them in the Jazz and see what happens.

By the way, anyone know what kind off wood that top is?

IIRC it's quilted bubinga

Re: Parker PM24V

Congrats man and Happy New Guitar Day :headbang:

Yeah, that looks like bubinga.
Happy you like the JB in yours, hated it in mine (but LOVE it in my Washburn MG-120). Ended up swapping it with a Tom Anderson HN3+.
The Jazz always delivers so I don't think Iv'e never taken it out of a guitar (might do so in the future purely because I've ran out of guitars and still wanna try out a couple neck pus).
