Hey guys, quick question. I want to upgrade my patch cords and was curious as to what the best ones are as far as performance/price etc, which cables are worth it?? Monster, Planet Waves etc.

What do you currently have?
If you have cheapies, I'd say stick with the cheapies unless there's some kind of popping sound or the signal cuts in and out randomly.
I've owned Monster Patch Cables and had used George L's for awhile, and there was no difference in sound to my ears.
Maybe I'm not that sophisticated, but I use these at home and for jamming with friends:

Hosa low profile is where its ****ing at.
I also have some planet waves ones.
i use the hosa when its a short distance, but the planet waves when i have to cover a tad more ground, like when i have to connect my big muff pi to my small stone.

i've been using the same cheaper cables for many years... i have 2 10 footers that i've used since maybe 1998 or so... i gigged a bit with them... played a fluke one off show in front of 10,000 people once with them-(right place right time)... been to studios, bar jams, basement parties, various gigs with the same patch cords for over 12 years now...
they are just the higher priced but still cheap Rapco's... i think the current 10 footers are like $15 each... the cheaper ones are $8...
i've stepped on them and broke the wires a few times, broke a jack pin off once... i've cut them back a little and resoldered some joints and switchcgraft end pins and i'm still using them...
at a jam a week ago i took an older Peavey cable with me to try... it was shorting out like crazy and no idea why... i was about to toss it when i discovered that it had some sort of Solder-less connections... you just jam the wire in and screw the cap on... i guess i had yanked on the cable too many times...
but Solderless cables are something i don't think i'm a fan of...

I've been using the generic yorkville cables (Canadian company, not sure if you know them) Not super low quality but not high quality. I've wondered if theres a huge enough difference between them and high end cables and if its worth it

Have you seen the new ones? The ends are a little more robust and thick, buts still maintain the same low profile.
I also picked up one of their 10 foot right angled guitar cables and BestBuy for, I dunno, $12, and it's great!
Amazon has 'em ever cheaper @ $7 pop!
