So, Last week I went to my local pawn shop that i go to about once a month or so. 3 months ago, I found a KILLER 1976 LP Standard in Natural all original for a VERY good price. It has been my place to find great guitars for cheap the past few years.

After I got my oil changed on my car, i decided to stop in. I saw what looked to be a super modded Gibson Melody Maker from the 60s. I told the guy "hey mind if i see that Melody Maker on the wall" the guy said "oh, you mean the "fake" Gibson" I was like "really? thats a fake?" After literally 10 seconds of examining the guitar, I new it was the real deal. I even told them, "This is a real Gibson, it has just been highly modified and refinished' I saw that it had a double cream humbucker in it. I was thinking it was a Dimarzio from a distance but they let me take it slightly apart and I found the following:

I told them yes, this is a real Gibson with a rare vintage Seymour Duncan. They still sold it to me for a super cheap price. Pretty sure its a 1965 from the pot code date.

......Yea a super early vintage 59N. The lead is pretty short, but i think I will send it to MJ to have new lead put on and possibly re-potted. I also harvested the tuners and posi strap-locks off it.

I would rock the hell out of that. It reminds me of Pete WIllis' old guitar. I would be tempted to make a "Wasted" tribute guitar.

I actually just sold it on Reverb as a husk in less than 24 hours. Paid $250 sold for $700 :D Turned the money into a 25/50 Marshall Silver Jubilee 20wt head :D

"Wasted" is a riff I always play to test out a guitar!

It's a masterpiece.
