Well FWIW- after A/B ing my Epiphone Les Paul (which has a PG set) and my new PRS acoustically for about an hour , I went ahead and ordered ANOTHER set of PGs for the PRS. Although the Epi sounds pretty good plugged in, I think the PGs will sound much better in the PRS because it has significantly more beef, warmth, and note clarity than EPI does.
I'm slowly becoming a convert of the PG- nothing cooler in pickupdom than a pissed off PAF.- and frankly they are hard to find- everyone else is winding "smooth & sweet".
