Pearly Gates Set

I know that the pearly gates have the 4 wire cables. Can they be coil tapped and do they sound good tapped. Obviously they are awesome as humbuckers.

I think you mean split. They don't come with taps (tapping is an entirely different process). They do sound good, split, however. They seem to be one of the better split pickup sound. Many people love them.

I have had split Pearly Gates and like them a lot.

I like their parallel tone as well.

Also I’ve heard the mounting screws can be a bit long for some models. True or false? I need to direct mount them if possible.
