the APH neck can be boring.

If that's the case, get an A3 into that APH-1N and it'll turn into anything BUT boring. Specially if you control dynamics with picking technique... try it to believe it!

The PG neck can be boomy, the APH neck can be boring.

For me, the issue with PGN's is the lack of treble, too mellow for my tastes. Once I got the PU and pole piece heights dialed in with my A2PN, it's great; blows away the PGN.

The A2Pro neck does a great job at making my Ibanez sound mellow and sweet, with a hint of crack.
It makes a very nice LP impression in what's basically a PRS knockoff.

I can't see it in a dark sounding guitar to be honest.
