Hi bro.
First off: In order to learn more and more we would have to get a magnetometer. I am planning to do that soon.

The following recommended by seymour in his q and a's that he is using, looks like the one. I dunno how much it is:

One more thing...you said with a full strength A2 magnet an ANT is basically a Seth...does a Seth has mismatched coils like the ANT's and the PG's? i have a feeling that mismatched coils and Alnico II magnets are the key to the tone I am looking for!
Full strength a2 ant and seth with similar DC values would be similar, yes. But you have to see that generally ants are hotter and seths are cooler.

Also beware that I sold my seth set after using it for 3 months some time ago. So that's only what I remember I thought. See?
I dunno much about the mismatched coils on seths or ants as I haven't taken their coils apart. Ants might have mismatched coils I dunno, but it certainly does not have that stronger slug coil dominant nasal and uppermid present tone of PGs (and that of timbuckers). Maybe BachToRock has measured some, he certainly is knowledgeable in these matters.
I tried the dun-aged magnet it PGns and in 59ns. I feel that if 59s weren't potted, the result would be quite similar to ant neck. (That sort of tels me that ants are not that mismatched.) The eq, softness, sponginess, sweet singing tone is all there, but it is not as 3d and hollow as ants are. The same goes for my 7.40K PGn with a dun-aged ant magnet. In fact I loved the result, that's why I kept one dun-aged magnet out of one of my ant necks (now having an a3 mag) in that PGn.
I suppose the loss of 3d clarity is due to wax potting. How do I know? Well I certainly did not experiment with this, that is I don't wanna ruin a great sounding ant HB. But this 3d clarity, and openness is a common feature of all the non-wax potted PAF clones I own/owned. Ants, seths, voodoo's, tim's, rolph's, ...
