Peavey reissues the Vandenberg.

I didn't realize Peavey was still around in any real way...

They have a small industry footprint these days.
Not a yuge PV client but they have made some decent stuff years ago.
60's & 70's Nashville artists all played PV.
Lynyrd Skynyrd has some of the best rock tones ever recorded playing Peavey back in da day.

They seem to be popping up a lot more lately. My guess is Hartley is licensing the name to anyone who will build a product and cut him a check. Watch for the pedals next then assorted Hartleymassa gear and accessories.

I still have an original Vandenberg from 1990 and it was very nice at the time. We don't see much 24.75" bolt-on neck guitars.
Will probably sell mine in the next weeks.

I like the look of the LucaTurilli (Power metal band Rhapsody's guitarist) axe. It's a cross between a Vandenburg and an Ibanez S series...

I had a red one & white one from the 90's. Not exactly Gibson Custom Shop caliber but they were okay and had some thought behind them.

I think it's cool that Peavey is trying to do something, but . . . I just don't "get" the reverse headstock. I have a Warlock with one, and it's just a PITA to tune and change strings. Albeit, a minor PITA, but annoying just the same. For no good reason, other than cosmetics, that I'm aware of.

So I went and perused the Peavey website. Dave may be right. WTF happened with that company?!?!?!?!

Chances are their stuff from decades ago is still working in dive bars throughout the South and Midwest and venue owners still have no reason to upgrade.
