i didnt like modeling amps befor i started using these. its retardedly accurate and, naturally, versatile. with the guitars i have, there's not a single sound i cant make ot at least come close. each amp model has 2 channels, some clean some alternate dirty channels.
list of models and my impression of each:
(primary channels)
-peavey classic - nice crunch
-peavey XXX - scooped and tight. good for EMGs
-peavey JSX - edgy without being harsh
-peavey 6505/5150 - pretty saturated and loud. sounds good with passives.
-mesa dual rectifier - very saturated and edgy. can get fuzzy. classic mesa tone.
-krankenstein - very ice picky and harsh. not very useful.
-diezel - sounds good if you turn down the trebble and gain.
-fender twin - very light vintage crunch.
-fender deluxe - very bright and crunchy like it should sound.
-vox AC30 - brian may
-marshall plexi - AC/DC
-bad cat - lots of upper mids and edge. i dont use it much but i like it.
theres also a set of pedal simulators in front of the amp models and effects between the amps and EQ's.
theres also a power sponge that lets you get the cranked tone wihout the volume.
