Peavey XXX soundclips!

Re: Peavey XXX soundclips!

These guys are very cool. I've emailed them in the past, and never got a reply. :(
SO, if anyone from that band is reading this, WHY DIDN'T YOU REPLY?!

Re: Peavey XXX soundclips!

That was wicked boss! Hahaha, like my 80's vernacular? ;)

That is some serious tone right there! To me, it sounds like a better 80's tone. All the beautiful crunch of shred metal, but with more beef.

Re: Peavey XXX soundclips!

Oh man! That's an XXX, but set to be very crunchy! It can get so much more brutal than that, but is still crunchy. The active EQ changes everything quite a bit...

Re: Peavey XXX soundclips!

thats damn cool. if i ever get a good mic, ill record some of my XXX

Re: Peavey XXX soundclips!

Man, I love that tone they've got going, and I agree with presa_tito, it does have a Lynch quality to it. This is a bit fatter/beefier sounding though, i.m.o.

Re: Peavey XXX soundclips!

very, very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nice old school tone! :headbang: :banghead: :headbang:

Re: Peavey XXX soundclips!

A bit buzzy for my tastes. Pretty close 80s 'serious metal' vibe, though. Are they a comedy band or for real?

Re: Peavey XXX soundclips!

Hmmm..interesting...

A little Lynch-like at times....a little Jake-like at times (especially the first clip)

Singer sounds like Kevin DuBrow & Ronnie James had a kid. Excellent vocal skills, but not my personal cup of tea (though I love RJD)

Amp sounded pretty good. I think I prefer the 5150 over the XXX though from what I've heard..it's a little "tighter".

Re: Peavey XXX soundclips!

Let us know how the CD is when you get it, I'm interested to see if the rest of the songs are up to par with the soundclip.
