Peavy XXX II, Carvin V3, or Genz Benz Diablo....choices

Re: Peavy XXX II, Carvin V3, or Genz Benz Diablo....choices

Its been a bittersweet week to say the least. My Grandmother Passed away and my

Wife's Best Friends Father Passed away within a day from each other. Not to mention

my Brother In Law got married this past weekend. I haven't found the time to post the

NAD Thread but it will be up shortly for those who have been wondering if I was

"Icemaning". In the midst of a New Amp, 2 Funerals, and a Wedding. I managed to snag

a New Axe off the Bay recently so on top of the NAD to come their will be a NGD Next

Week as well.....all I can say is I went "Platinum" ;)

There's a reason there was a deal on the Genz Benz.... I have owned all three of those amps and I can honestly tell you I see a TS-9 in your future....

I sold some gear recently and am looking to pull the trigger on one of these amps. I've watched countless Videos and done some research. I don't want to spend more than $1000. Nice Sparkly Cleans to Crunch to Verge of Meltdown High Gain is what I'm looking for. And I've narrowed it down to these:

The Peavey XXX II- for its balls out Gain and built in Noise Gate on the

rhythm and lead channels, Nice usable Clean Channel, USA Made, and I can

get it for under $1000 used but in like new condition.

The Carvin V3- for its sheer versatility, 100w/50w/25w switch, Smart Loops,

Built in Reverb, Midi Capability, and purdy Multi Colored Channel Assignable

LED Lights, USA Made, and I can get it New with the FS44 Footswitch for

$950.

The Genz Benz El Diablo- I can get it used for around $500- $550 with the

Footswitch and Cover, Demo's are all over the place...most UTube reviews

sound God Awful but some sound promising. The Cleans are REEEEALLY Nice

the Gain Channel can get pretty Brutal, it has a switch for 50w and 100w

and it has a sweet Blue LED Light. The Controls don't look as intuitive

compared to the PV and V3 but the price is really good....but sometimes you

get what you pay for.

If anyone that has owned or does own any of these amps could give me

some Pro's and Con's, what did you like or not like about them, are they

worth the Price Tag, are they Reliable etc. Any Insight would be Great

Thanks!
