I think I had another thread on this a few years ago

but Let's revisit it

what color do you think of when you think of certain types of pedals

overdrive
boost
phase
chorus
distortion
high gain
reverb
delay

mine is:

overdrive = Green
boost = White
phase = Orange
chorus = Light blue
distortion = Red
high gain = Black
reverb = dark blue
delay = Blue or Purple

but I'm flexible

what ya got?

overdrive - yellow
boost - black or white
phase - orange
chorus - blue or pink
distortion - red or orange
high gain - red or black
reverb - silver
delay - white or dark red

Red LED = pedal for guitar players
Any other color LED = pedal for guitar enthusiasts

overdrive = yellow
distortion = orange
fuzz = red
phase = orange
reverb = gray
chorus = blue
delay = white
flanger = purple
compressor = orange
tremolo = green

What color I think of is (which has nothing to do with any industry standard or common practice):

overdrive = yellow
boost = black, or whatever
phase = magenta / purple
chorus = blue
distortion = orange
high gain = red
reverb = whatever, no fixed color comes to mind
delay = green

Overdrive is blue.
Phase is silver and tan.
Delay is grey.
Chorus is not on the board.
Flanger is black and silver.
Wah is black.
Vibe is silver.

My pedalboard is not too colorful. :P

Overdrive - Yellow/Green
boost - White
phase - Orange
chorus - Blue
distortion - Purple
high gain - Black
reverb - Grey
delay - White

Mostly what Boss/Ibanez tells me they should be

FYI

Flange - Purple/Blue
Tremolo - any color, but graphics
Wah - Black

While I don't care what color the box is, the LED color should be standardized for pedal type.

On this note, I am NOT a fan of blindingly bright LED's

Just need to know it is definitively on, don't need to alert air traffic...

Distortion - red or orange
Delay - green
Overdrive - also green, but yellow too
Modulation - blue
EQ - white
Compressor - knobs

Just for fun, My POD Go has lights around switches....

Yellow = OD/Distortion/EQ/Comp
Green is delay
Orange is Reverb
Blue is modulation
Purple is pitch/Filter
