For some reason, I love OD pedals :dunno:

I love them too. I'm no fan of modulation pedals like flangers, phasers, choruses and the like, though I do like the BOSS RT-20 rotary speaker sim. But I definetly like OD pedals the most. So many different types...fuzz, treble boost, tubescreamer...and so many more  !

Good clean fun at that!! Couldn't have said it better myself. I have to say that I've been playing for over 30 years, and the Plexitone is without a doubt the best match for my 73 marshall 100w. I've had other OD's sd-1, tube screamers, etc.... but this thing just NAILS the amps tone on 10... and beyond. So organic and... "lively".. like an amp on ten. Totally responsive. Since you like the tone so much thru the bassman (which was the basis for the early Marshalls after all) I think you'd regret selling it. My prob is I have trouble selling stuff. .... And you never know, you might sell something, regret it and find it's no longer available from the manufacturer

Regret selling it.....story of my life. And many others I assume. The Plexitone stays. HURRAH! This is the best description of the Plexitone I've heard yet. Organic & LIVELY! Lively is a great word to use. It sound "alive". It doesn't sound like a box...to me it sounds like it integrates itself into the amp and the tone is coming from the amp, and not some pedal full of transistors that sounds like a pedal.

Damn Guitar Center doesn't have the Duncan SFX-03 in stock now either, and the Vox is a special order--which I won't do.

There's only one way to know for sure. Buy, buy, buy, and return or sell what doesn't make the cut. I see guys hemming a hawing for months, and asking a zillion questions, just to make sure they're buying the right thing, and the fact is, you don't know till you own it. The key is to never make a mistake and sell something that's great.

I know some people are saying....yeah, yeah, but I'm broke and can't buy everything I want just to try it. I'm saying that you CAN, because gear is just like money in the bank. It's just like trading cards. I was doing the same thing when I was making $200 a week as I am now. Just don't buy new, and always sell for more than you paid.

Amen to that!
