Pedal lineup of Amazeballs flexibility

Aceman

I am your doctor of love!
Distortion NOT included due to everyone's particular tastes.

Wah = Crybaby 535Q
Chorus = Digitech CF 7 Chorus Factory
Flange = Digitech Turbo Flanger
Phaser = EVH Phaser
Delay = Boss Tera-echo
Reverb = Line 6 Verbzilla

You could dial you in some sounds with that!

Re: Pedal lineup of Amazeballs flexibility

Oh....you're going to get SO much flak on this... :)

I actually think it's a pretty good list...and I don't own a single one of those pedals. I might add a cheap CLEAN boost/preamp--say, a BBE Boosta Grande? Or perhaps a Boss CS-3 Compressor?

And not a boutique pedal made from unobtainium in the bunch. Good job!

Re: Pedal lineup of Amazeballs flexibility

Chorus, flange, AND phase? This from the guy that thinks compression sounds too '80s?
oookaaay ...

Re: Pedal lineup of Amazeballs flexibility

if you're looking for flexibility the tc electronic flashback or even a boss dd7 will give you more delay options than the tera echo.

Re: Pedal lineup of Amazeballs flexibility

so much digital action.
Have you considered an all in one unit like a line 6 POD hd-500?
its got flexibility in spades.

Re: Pedal lineup of Amazeballs flexibility

I can dial in a sound with that.

But - I'd like a little 'squeeze' cos I'm a single coil type of guy. :)

Re: Pedal lineup of Amazeballs flexibility

OK - what is the ultra flexible comp?

I roll Dyna comp or Modded CS-3?????

And I did consider the Flashback….a couple of TC's actually.

Just trying to keep it in a few choice pedals.

Unobtanium - :lmao:

And yeah - chorus/flange/phase; Gotta be able to nail Ain't talking bout love, Eruption, AND 5150 era. SO you will need Flange, Phase, AND Chorus - and the chorus will need a delay setting as well!

Re: Pedal lineup of Amazeballs flexibility

Meh, here's my list:

Wah = modded Crybaby with true bypass and vocal mod
Chorus = EHX Small Clone (I use a Boss bass chorus while a friend uses the Clone)
Phaser = EHX Small Stone
Delay = Boss DD7
Reverb = EHX Holy Grail

Re: Pedal lineup of Amazeballs flexibility

Why pick a line up just because it offers a bunch of sounds?!

I'd rather have 5 pedals that yielded. 5 great sounds than I would have 5 pedals that yielded 25 half sounds....and FWIW, I have yet to find 5 pedals that yielded 25 great sounds so that's not an option in the real world.

Re: Pedal lineup of Amazeballs flexibility

This is like a 1985 kind of question. You could just load your board up with two rows of Zoom MS-50G pedals, but people use boards these days for specific sounds rather than generic ones. Pedal boards with multi effects taking up most of the space are common these days:

I agree with the Line 6 comment. The hd500 has the ability to run effects into both the front and fx loop at the same time too. Firsthand experience of the mods and delay/verbs on the HD unit I have make me only want to buy a signature dirt pedal of some sort in front of an amp, then the pod into the fx loop.

Re: Pedal lineup of Amazeballs flexibility

1 big Strymon pedal (Timeline, Mobius, Big Sky) has 12 machines. I've been able to get at LEAST 3 different and awesome sounds out of each machine on my Timeline and Mobius. That means 2 pedals gives you 72 tones with the option of dialing in even more tones that don't sound anything like the existing ones. Hell, the Mobius can even be run in AND out of your amp's effects loop. With any other pedal you would need one of each to do that. Just saying.

See - if you like the one sound (mostly) each of those makes - great. But My list can sound like that - and a whole lot more!
