Pedal order

I did a search, since I know I 've seen a thread about this, but found nothing...What is the best way to order your effects pedals( as a rule of thumb that is).
I need to put these on a board:
Fat Boost
Hydra boost
EDeja vibe
Supra Trem
TS 808
AD-9 Delay
Wha Wha
Volume pedal
Tuner

Please advise

Re: Pedal order

Not sure I understand your question, but check www.musictoyz.com, they probably have most if not all the pedals you are looking for.

He's not looking to buy pedals, he wants to know what is the best order for the one's he has already if I understand correctly. Something like "from guitar to wah then distortion/overdrive then delay then chorus..." Something like that (not saying my order is correct, just an example).

Re: Pedal order

Just ball parkn' it but,

Tuner
TS 808
Fat Boost
Hydra Boost
Wah pedal
EDeja Vibe
Supra Trem
AD-9 Delay
Volume pedal

Again just ball parkn' it, if you want a more sutle wah then put it in front of the 808.

Re: Pedal order

I would put the hydra before the ts-808.

The Effects Master Has Spoken!!!!!! :)

I was just guessing on the Volume pedal since I've never used one, it would make sense that its the last since it needs to effect all the pedal the same....right?

Wha Wha

AD-9 Delay

I leave the delay after the volume pedal, so you don't lose the trails on the delay. You could also put one boost before and one after the TS-808.

Re: Pedal order

If your wah has no buffer to begin with or if the input of the pedal after the wah has a low impedence input, like old fuzz boxes, then you need a buffer after it. These days, some wahs may have an output buffer and nearly all pedals have a high enough input impedence that a buffer in between is not necessary.

HOWEVER, with a signal chain like that, tack a buffer on the end to keep the signal strong back to the amp, especially if a lot of the pedals are true bypass. If one or two of them have buffered bypass, like Boss and Ibanez pedals, you're fine.

Me, I'd ditch 'em all except the wah and the tuner. Place them in any order you want and play on. But that's just me. My amp and guitar volume knob handle the rest. I just find that I play better with less footwork. I'm not a good tap dancer. :)

Re: Pedal order

My friend has a dunlop crybaby, its pretty old, when he runs it before he zVex fuzz factory it makes the weirdest noises. Weirder than the noises that come out of the fuzz factory to start with.

I hear ya, I have enough problems just dealing with channel switching and tuner on stage :)

Re: Pedal order

He needs a buffer after the wah then. My wah is very old too. It was made around 1990-1991, Rev. E board, no input or output buffer. He may want to read this too, http://zvex.com/fuzz.html, for an explanation on what the controls on the Fuzz Factory do and some example settings. The ZVex FF should have a high impedence input, but ya never know, it might not. I've never used one and don't know the specs of it.

I forgot, I have the channel switcher too. Now this may change when I get another amp. With the one I have in mind, I may need to add an OD or distortion out front, which is no big deal really because the amp has a single button footswitch so I'd still have the same number of "stompables" out front, just a slightly different configuration.

Re: Pedal order

I'm not too familiar with your boosts, but I'd put one early in the chain and one late in the chain (maybe even after the delay) to really push the amp with out overloading the input stages of the other effects.
