well...uncle sam wasn't as good to me as i originally thought he was going to be!!!

soooo...instead of a pedaltrain board and 3 or 4 more pedals...i'm down to a pedaltrain board and 1 pedal...lol!!! i shoulda known!!!

now i'm trying to decide what it is that i want next

Budda wah

Retro-sonic phaser

Crucible Fuzz

Barber Tone Press

i'm kinda thinking the fuzz is out for now as i have two perfectly good OD sounds in my Carl Martin...the Compressor is probably last on my list...so really i guess it's between the Budda Wah and the RS Phaser. i don't "usually" do much lead work (although i'm the only guitar player more and more often) so i'm sorta leaning ever so slightly towards the Phaser!?

opinions...conjectures...anything in addition that i haven't listed to that would help me with the kinds of music i play...ie...Casting Crowns, Hillsong, Jeremy Camp, & Clint Brown to...Switchfoot, Fighting Instinct, Sanctus Real, & Kutless!

Re: Pedal Poll

A G12H30 speaker for your Junior, it will improve the overall tone all the time.

Re: Pedal Poll

Well, one thing a wah and a phaser have in common is that they are both infuriating when over-used, so you gotta exercise some restraint! :fingersx:

I can see why you're leaning towards the phaser, but you can use a wah for rhythm stuff too you know.... WAKKA WAKKA....

If I could only have one I'd go for the wah.

This thread should..... ooo.... spooky deja vu feeling :eek13:

i definitely gotta figure out a way to get one of those in there too...but i don't want my pedal board to be bare...lol!

Re: Pedal Poll

I would get both as kits from BOYC and keep myself busy for some time...

You have fun modding them too, if you re into that kind of stuf...

Re: Pedal Poll

i've been wanting to do that for a LONG time too...but i have zero space to do it in right now!

I cant really think of anything there that I remember wah or phaser in. Tell me how and where you would use each

Re: Pedal Poll

I use a Phase 90 for many of my clean sustained chords, and sometimes for clean leads. I set it at about 2. I recently started using the wah as an "accenter" for chords in more rock oriented tunes, especially with minimal voicings.

Sometimes I'll use the wah rolled back for lead tones.

Skarey is right, though: The Weeping Demon is a GREAT wah, and a great value.

that's pretty much what i wanted to use them for!

and then on Sunday nights at the youth Chapel i wanted to really make choruses and bridges stand out...nothing drastic, but something i could use to kick it up a notch at certain times!

Re: Pedal Poll

Boss ME-50. You can get 'em used (one cleared ebay for like $150 I believe, and it included the power adapter and a Boss FS-6 dual footswitch extension).

Re: Pedal Poll

Chorus, or another differently voiced distortion. I would go with a Wah, but I have not tried the Budda - I like my 535Q.

Re: Pedal Poll

the line 6 MM4 has also reared it's g.a.s.sy head again...hmmmm!? :) :13:

Re: Pedal Poll

Lots of people are voting for the wah, which is an excellent choice, but I voted for the phaser to further befuddle you.

i'm befuddling myself and actually in talks on a Line 6 MM4 that comes with an Expression Pedal...:smack: :smack: :smack: :chairfall

trying to kill a few birds with one stone kinda thang!!!?
