Pedalboard recommendations...

Re: Pedalboard recommendations...

I made my own. I don't use a lot of effects but what I do use I built my board around. I used a piece of Sub floor plywood, I drilled a few holes in it to keep all the cable under the board. I put a foot on it to tilt it towards me and initially put two handles on either end to make it easier to carry. Turned out the handles were a bit of a pain so I bout a pedal case for about 70$ and screwed it to the base. When I play I just pop the top off & plug it in. I'm good to go in about 5 minutes.

The trick was powering it. My board is a CE2 clone, a DD3, TS9, Wah & tuner so nothing to earth shattering. I use a one spot to power the whole thing. Works great and the pedal case has a handle so I can carry it like a guitar case. Going to a gig, I have my guitar, pedals, amp, gigbag. Works great!

I have had a couple of Pedaltrains, I like them a lot. I gave up the PT-pro for a smaller PT board because it was too big and heavy for me and I wanted to downsize. They are well made, durable, practical and also angled, which I like and this gives enough room to mount a Voodoo Labs or other power brick underneath which saves space and is cleaner.
