Pedalboards finished! Pics!

So after a bunch of time trying amps and pedals and orders and mods and screaming and yelling and head scratching and thinking and everything else, I finally finished my pedal chains.

This is my pre-input board. It goes as follows:

Wireless unit attached to the back edge has a cable that runs under the board to the input of the Whammy on the far right of the board. Dry out from the Whammy feeds the Behringer Tuner.

The Wet Added out from the Whammy goes to my ratherdashing modded TS7 which sits on a piece of 3/4" MDF to raise it up to make it easier to step on. Side note, dashing's mod of my TS7 is Un-FREAKIN-believable. I love that pedal and it's seems to be on a lot of the time. It just sounds SO good.

From the TS7, next is my MIJ DS-1. Ratherdashing restored it for me and it sounds great now. It's seeing more action with the Marshall 6100 I'm using now. Great combination.

Next up is my ratherdashing modded (Are we seeing a trend here?) MIT DS-1. The circuit now incorporates a red and a white LED for clipping and it's one of the most brutal distortion pedals I've ever used without going fizzy like a Metal Zone or a Tri-Metal.

Next is my brand new FTL Drive, designed and built byt our own, you guessed it, ratherdashing! I've put a review of the pedal in the Amp room, so check it out there...

Then the Tonebone Plexitube. I use this one mostly with the clean channel to get some extra voices out of the amp. So with 3 multi-mode channels and 5 OD boxes, I can get 16 different overdrive/distortions. and I can mix a large number of them together...

Above the Plexitube and the FTL is the channel switcher for the 6100. Nothing fancy there.

Next is my Ibanez Weeping Demon Wah pedal. Very cool. Still tweaking...

last but not least is the Smart Gate. Got to keep those dirt boxes in check...

This part is separate from the main and made to work in 2 ways. With the 6100, I have 2 FX loops. One is selectable Series/Parallel, and the other is a Line in/Out that effectively works as a Series loop.

The right side of the second board runs in the Parallel loop. It has the PSM-5 power unit, a Marshall Regenerator which I have set as a Flanger most of the time, then a PH-3 which I use as a phaser obviously, then it goes to the Cool Cat Chorus which is the BEST sounding chorus pedal I have ever used. Then I have the Marshall Echohead which I use for most of my delay needs. I use it on the Hi-Fi mode...

The Left side runs in the Series loop and starts with the Echo Park. It doesn't like the parallel loop in this amp, but sounds awesome in the series one. **Shrug**... Works for me. Then it goes to my Marshall Compressor which I use to compress things. Mostly clean things. I don't use it much, but I like having it handy. The Micro Amp is next. It's my Lead/Solo boost. I love it here. I've never really found a good place to use this one until now... Last, my Little Alligator Volume Pedal. I mostly use it to mute for guitar changes and such. I can link the output from the main board to the secondary one if I'm using an amp that doesn't have a loop.

So there it is.

Re: Pedalboards finished! Pics!

I didn't see the sheet of plexiglass for the second one, and asked myself "did he just tape pedals to the carpet and call that a pedal board?" :)

Cool setup. Very versatile rig you have there.

Re: Pedalboards finished! Pics!

My former singer used to give me plexi cuttings, so I've got a few of them. They work well for making templates and for mounting pedals.

The secondary board has 2 strips of the hook side of Velcro on the underside so that it grabs the carpet. :)

yup, sweet set up man. im expecting a delivery or 2 today to continue tweaking my board.

Very impressive size and versatility. But for me, that's just too much to carry around and too much that could go wrong. But if it works for you, then that's great. Certainly a lot of sounds to make heads turn.
