hey i just got a sd-1 super overdrive pedal, and it doesnt appear to be working with the cables i have. Is the output cable different from a normal cable that you would plug the guitar jack to the amp from?

Use regular cables and make sure you have it hooked up right then check the battery.

battery is fine. i also played it at the store. both my amps work fine with just the guitar. the cables are pluged in the right way, but im still not pickin up anything

So you plug the cable from the guitar into the right side of your DS-1 and the left side of the pedal goes to a cable that goes to your amp. When you step on the switch, the red LED on the pedal lights up? Both cables work when seperately from the guitar to the amp?

yep, and for some reason it just wont work. and i know im not just using the pedal incredibily wrong cause i pluged it into to an amp at the guitar shop today and turned them on and such and it worked fine. i just dont get it.

alright i think i finally solved it. one of my cables is perfectly fine, but the second one is a little faulty and inconsistant. whenever i pluged it into the pedal i got nothing. but when i plugged that cable from the guitar to the amp it worked fine. and now it is working on the pedal sometimes, so it looks like i just needa replace the cable. thanks for all the help though you guys, i really appreaciate it!

One thing i don't get... i trashed a guitar once and the plug on the cord broke in the jack..... I soldered a new plug on the cord and it is awful noisey now.... it was a new cord before i threw that guitar around and broke the cord's plug...
