Pedaltrain Mini Version 1

Re: Pedaltrain Mini Version 1

I'm glad to see you going into the Fuzz then Wah. That's how it sounds best to me too.

But, like others, I'm wondering why everything else looks backwards by conventional standards.

What's the tonal difference between the MXR Phase 90 and 45?

If you have a non buffered wah then fuzz into wah is the only real way to get it to work right but on my big board I go wah into fuzz and use a buffered wah...sometimes I go wah into fuzz on this board...there are tricks to make it work right!

The Phase 45 is half as many stages as the Phase 90 so the basic tone is the same but it's a LOT more subtle of a phase sound.

Re: Pedaltrain Mini Version 1

This thread makes me wonder if I shouldn't get one of these mini jammies just for my modulation and delay effects ... :)

Re: Pedaltrain Mini Version 1

I wanted to get on with that PT Mini, but the rear 'fence' on that thing made it impossible to mount the power supply in a way that wasn't stupid or required a lot of metal work.

Re: Pedaltrain Mini Version 1

i dig my PT mini ... zendrive --> twintube classic --> deja vu delay --> tu-2 ... if this new project takes off (jazzy fusiony instrumental project), i think i might take off the twintube off and put the digitech chorus factory back on ... i wont need as many shades of dirt and i could probably use the chorus for comping

Yeah, the newer ones don't have the fence but mounting a power supply is still too much work for me...I used a One Spot with it and it's alright for grab and go jams and stuff.

Pedaltrain has a new power supply coming out soon that will fit on (under) all of their boards...I might give that a try when they come out.

Oh, I can easily fill up that size board! :p

I feel ya!

I had to really think hard about what to put on this board and I'm not sure it'll stay this way long.

I just needed something super small that offered a lot of tones for some of the small stages i've been on recently!

I've got a gig coming up on one of the smallest stages I've ever played on and we've got 2 guitars, bass, drums, keys and a harp player on a few tunes as well...madness I say!!!

I know the feeling. My band is 6 people and some stages are very tight. Not much real estate to work with for pedalboards. That's when my Cuisinart cutting board turned pedalboard comes in handy....lol.
