Pegasus 7, maybe magnet swap time?

My Pegasus 7 in a 26.5" Jackson tuned down to Ab standard sounds ok, but I think I'd like to hear it with a ceramic magnet for my metal riffing tendencies. I think it'll tighten up the low end and I'll welcome more output too.

Where can magnet's be had? I saw a site a long while back, but have no idea what it was now :?: I do remember there were size differences...is there anything I need to take into account there?

Finally, if anyone has tried this, what did you think of the magnet swap?

1.5x thick magnet (distortion, nazgul etc...)

I've heard somewhere the Pegasus with a standard ceramic is a lot like an Omega. Not sure if there's merit to that. probably worth a try

Yeah that's the site, thanks! Guess I'll order both to see how they pair up. Maybe some shorter pole pieces too to see how that affects things as well.

I love short pole pieces. They look good and make subtle changes to the low end and high end IMO. You can get 100 from McMaster-Carr for about $10 plus shipping

Ahhhh, I just discovered I couldn't put a double thick magnet in the Pegasus without desoldering this wierd ground wire. I've never seen it done quite like this in a duncan before...
