And ordered. Got a zebra standard spaced coming. Two GC gift cards, another gift card from a rebate. All I had to cover was the tax. That's a deal. This will be going in a 2009 LP Traditional Pro. The neck is a '57 Classic and is staying that way. Both pickups split so it'll be nice to hear the PB split.
Please keep us posted. We never hear much about that pickup

Finally had a some free time yesterday to install it. I dig the push/pull pots that Gibson used in these Traditional Pro's. I don't know if newer models have them or not. They are lower profile with 2 lugs on the back. Perfect for wiring up to split and a lot easier to work with.
I'm still playing with the height but first impressions is this is a very sweet pickup. It's got a nice top end that doesn't get harsh, the lows and mids are definitely there, it's quite articulate and very responsive. It splits very well (becoming a 6.0-6.5k single-coil) too. I'm pretty pleased with it so far. This Les Paul is a killer guitar and this pickup has made it better. The BB3 is no slouch, I simply wanted a little more from the bridge. The output of the PB is perfect and matches up great with the '57 Classic in the neck.
The wiring is before I did anything so ignore the colors. Simply for reference. The maple cap on this thing is THICK! (see last 2 pics). It's very easy to spot the line.
Yes, the bridge ring is bowing. Will get replacements at some point. Not really concerned right now. It's technically still my friend's guitar but I am working on buying it from him. He gave me the OK to do the pickup swap.
I'll provide more feedback on the PB after a few band rehearsals with it at higher volumes and through my main rig.

I borrowed one of your pic from this thread to show another member an example of proper soldering.
I just wanted to say that this is some really great, clean work you’ve done here. Great job with this, Erik.
Technically your friends? What happens if he dont sell?
Good friends are awesome. He will. We were bandmates for a long time, 10+ years. I've had it for about 4 years now...LOL. And he has 3-4 other Les Pauls.
Good friends are awesome.

And rareYes, they are.
Thank you but it's not my soldering. That's stock wiring / soldering before I did the swap. I took those pics as a reference. My work looks similar though as I've been soldering since I was 16.
