PG lead on Rid's Help the Poor backtrack

OK, I gave it a shot, and I really like the recorded tone I get from the PG. I'll just have to find a way to get that tone with an amp.

Anyway, this is my last clip before the weekend, I rarely access the forum on weekends.

The new scales I tried are surprisingly comfortable...

Not for the metal heads, but a nice vibe for a Friday, totally improvised, no overdubs, no messing around, record&play:

Cheers! :)

Nice tune!!! As you said the PG really sounds trebly... I have heard other theard with the PG and it din't had all this treble.

Nice track anyway!!

Well, I actually went with Phrygian A at the 5th fret... what surprised me really, was that I've been able to go all over the neck without loosing myself... something just clicked after your little lesson. It's funny and quite cool actually. As if I suddenly integrated the scale structure correctly.

Before that, I was limited to the blues and pentatonic scales. I couldn't even imagine leading over a piece like this one.

A big thanks to you bro. You actually helped me expand my playing a whole lot. That proves that you can learn at any age and people of any age can make you learn new things :)

Yeah not that easy... my biggest problem has always been to find out the chords of a song. I'm so bad at this. Maybe a lack of chord knowledge... I have little knowledge of chord progressions outside of hard rock.

Yeah, I guess my track sounded academic, like a study, since I stuck to the scale all the way through. But it's my first steps in that path. My fingers are ready, but my mind is not :)
