I think Phat Cats should come stock with short roughcast A5s. It gets you a lot closer to what most people want from P90.

Dear Blueman335 Thanks for your thoughts on these magnets. I am mixing magnets on most pickups that I use. I like the RC A8 s facing the bridge because it seems to bring out harmonics that I like and the warmer magnets facing the neck. This seems to bring out guitar body wood resonance that I also like. The polished A2 s that I use in the 500T facing the body makes that pickup sound balsy kind of like the James Gang style when you dig in a bit. Very fun and enjoyable. As for the Phat Cat neck I am still listening to the latist change with the RC A8 facing the bridge and it has good harmonics , but I may want a little more brightness , not sure yet. I have been buying my magnets from an Ebay supplier that you can checkout here :
