Phat Cat P90 magnets & cover

Does the Phat Cat P90 pickups use the same size magnet bar as their regular size humbuckers?

Also, I would like to replace the cover on one with a Black matte cover which SD doesn't offer, since the string spacing is odd at 49.02 does anyone know who makes an aftermarket black cover for it?

P-90s use 2 bar magnets, the same size as the 1 magnet used in a humbucker pup.

I've never taken the cover off of a Phat Cat but I understand that it is a tricky procedure, not simple like a humbucker.

Hopefully someone who has done it will join in and be more informative.

Yeah, I remember reading that the cover is basically what holds a Phat Cat's construction together, so I don't think it's going to be as easy as with a humbucker.

It's not a big deal to take the cover off PCs. Nothing comes apart, just it looks ugly and the parts are exposed. However, I don't see any compatible black covers searching around the internet.
