Phat Cat Silencer Pole Screws seem high

My Silencer pole screws are over 1mm high and can't be lowered anymore in my PRS SE Standard 24-08 - causing string clicking. Compared to my Screamn' Demon which has the screws almost flush. Maybe they just work in specific guitars? Can anything be done, or is this just the nature of the beast?

Why cant they be lowered?
Sometimes first time screw poles get adjusted you gotta kinda crack um loose in the potting wax....if they seem stuck.

Tried taking out one of the screws (low E) and now it seems stripped and won't go in even as far as before. Thanks anyway, I must of just gotten a bad one - it was fun to try.

are the screws hitting the body of the guitar under the pup? i cant think of any other reason the screws wouldnt go lower. some prs models do have shallow routs.

Thanks, was worth a try. Pulled the pup out and tried again - the low E screw is stripped and I hit the others as hard as I could. The bridge pup seems better - but enough is enough. At least I get to go pup shopping now.

pup shopping is always fun! but im still curious what the issue is. did you buy them new recently from an authorized dealer? duncan has a swap policy

I've purchased 5 SD pups, all from SD themselves (Their support and this forum have been helpful). This one was from SD on Amazon. I got the silencers in August '24, The bridge (vintage) seems fine and sounds delightful, what I use mostly. The neck was never great, and just attempted to do some trouble shooting, again, recently.

gotcha, thats unfortunate, but it is what it is. not sure if amazon is an authorized dealer, not that it matters at this point.

Yes, amazon is authorized - it's the SD store on amazon - I did verify the authorized thing because that matters to me. Not that unfortunate, just the joy of the journey. Appreciate you mentioning to check if the screws are bottoming out.
