Hi all,

Apologies for being a complete rookie. I want to add 2 Phat Cats to a Strat with 1 Volume Pot and 2 Tone Pots using a 3-way blade switch. I've had a look at various diagrams and there seems to be different ways to wire this.
The closet diagram for what I want to do, seems to be this one: https://www.seymourduncan.com/wirin...s,neck-h,bridge-h,1-volume,2-tone,3-way-blade

However it's for 2 humbuckers with 1 volume and 2 tone and a 3-way blade. For that diagram do I ignore the red and white wires as well as the black wire? The pickup has a braided wire. Do I strip some of the braiding back to expose the wire and solder the neck wire to one of the tone pots and the bridge wire to the other tone pot?

Many thanks for your help.

Ignore the red/white, treat the braid as if it were the green and bare wires; and treat the center conductor as if it were the black wire: that is exactly right.

Many thanks Greg :)
In that SD diagram it has a black wire coming out of the pickup however the Phat Cat only has a braided wire. So would the wiring diagram look like this?

Thanks again.
