Okay so im thinking about what pickups im gonna put in my new es137, because ive decided i dont like the 57 classics contrary to anything i mighthave said a week or so ago.
Now i want this gutiar for jazzy stuff and latin stuff mainly so i dont want anything really hot, but at the same time i always like my bridge pickups a bit hotter than normal. But i dont think ill be using this guitar for the hard rock stuff anyway, in fact im pretty sure i wont be, my jackson sounds awesome enough through the ENGL for any hard rock stuff anyway for the time being till i get another gibson solidbody
But like i said i still want something a little hotter than normal. So was thinking about either a Pearly Gates in the bridge or perhaps even a Seth, or even a CC for something really hot. But id want to be able to get alright bridge cleans as well and i suppose cleans and crunchy sounds are the priority here, not hard rock. And for neck i was thinking about a seth or a 59, but im leaning towards a seth. Then theres the possibility of a seth set???
Then i started thinking about phat cats, and ive heard some clips of phat cats and everything ive heard ive loved to bits, and ive also loved all the p90 clips ive heard. Now i know phat cats would sound a fair bit different to buckers, but i still think they would sound really good.
What do you guys think?
