Got her back together last night.
Still have minor wiring issues in particular neck pickup is weak and buzzing like it's split. Otherwise sounds GREAT with that JB in the bridge plays very well and is rock solid on tuning.

That looks killer. what models were the neck/ body from?

As for the neck pickup, I'm sure you have, but just test it with a MM to make sure it's reading properly at the source!

Neck is a 91 RG 550 body is ether a RG 565 or a USA custom from that same era. Won't know for sure unless I pull the neck and it's still stamped under the neck in the pocket. Finish is custom not factory so may all be gone under the neck. What ever it is this is a fun player that sounds good and is cool in it's own unique funky way.
On the neck pickup may just drop a Red Devil neck in it at some point and be done with it. That JB in this particular guitar sounds HUGE so that IMO would make for a great tonal combo in this thing!!

LOL being an old white metal guy from the 80's- 90's first thing I thought of were these guys. We crossed paths a few times back in the "day" playing festivals.

The Yellow/Black sort of reminded me of Michael's guitars as well when I initially saw it.
Congrats, and whatever it turns out to be that doesn't matter cause as long as youre happy that's all that matters. You'll get the pickup situation figured out in no time and if that's you're only issue then Id call that a win!

(from the position of the volume knob I sya it's RG565).
