My road dog ES-335, no doubt.

Why? It's just amazing...it feels right in my hands and can go from big, fat warm tones to much thinner almost twangy sounds and it sounds great clean and great crunched out.

Re: Pick ONE Guitar

I could actually pick any of the ones I own as I love them all.... But I am especially fond of this one.

Re: Pick ONE Guitar

That's easy, for me. My 2005 Gibson Flying V. I love all of my guitars, but, this is the one I've bonded with.

Re: Pick ONE Guitar

This is an easy question for me too. My Dean ML is the one and only #1 for me. Though it is currently down for major repairs it is the best guitar I've every played.

Have you ever found that one guitar that when you first took it out of the case, strapped it on for the first time and played a single chord it was like the guitar said "hello friend, where have you been?"? Yeah, that's it...

Re: Pick ONE Guitar

My Gretsch Corvette is The One. Well as soon as I can afford the set of Tall Boys for it... I played it the first time, and all my other guitars became trade bait. Seriously, I wrote a song on it before I even got the rusty strings off it... Why do I keep buying parts for my other guitars instead of finishing the Vette?

Re: Pick ONE Guitar

With just one guitar, versatility and dependability is what you need - so, give me a strat with a JB in the bridge.

If you can't get trough a gig (any gig) with a strat + bridge JB, there's something wrong with you... lol

Re: Pick ONE Guitar

I see a LOT of superstrats on the list, and I would most likely join in if I were to get a nice neck thru Tokai Atomic Bomb or similar with a lawsuit headstock, 25.5in and dat oiled finish.
For example, I would probably throw Agileguy out of a window and take his guitar. You know, if that was a thing to do. Ascension's Mr. Potato guitar is nice too.

If it's one I have?
The Godin Radiator, no doubt. I'm already debating on putting some stacked singles in it to replace the stock singles.

Re: Pick ONE Guitar

No doubt it would be my Will Stinnett custom SS6 for the very simple reason that she is a custom guitar whose specs are an amalgamation of everything I liked about my other guitars up to that point. Sound phenomenal, plays like a dream plus she looks stunning!

Re: Pick ONE Guitar

I'm really tempted to say a tele because they work for everything I need and more, but the realist in me knows that sometimes I'd miss the jangle and springyness of a strat.

Of guitars I don't own, the only one I've ever tried and thought 'this is it, I've found the guitar I want to play for the rest of my life' has been a vintage Jazzmaster that I was a few thousand dollars short of owning.

Re: Pick ONE Guitar

It would have to be my SG Special with Seth Lovers. Used to be my Peavey Predator in the past, and that thing plays like butter AND stays in tune very well, but the SG bumped it out of first place.

Re: Pick ONE Guitar

Right now, I'd have to say my Jazzmaster (below), but I'm in the middle of collecting the parts of what I intend to be my dream guitar... so this may change.

Re: Pick ONE Guitar

Yup - 1CTA in the neck, PBF-51 in the bridge. Warmoth chambered Black korina body with their tobacco burst finish. Sounds incredible. I've got some black tuners I need to put on.
