a vinyl kit would by far be easier, faster, & cheaper......and less destructive (you wouldnt have to strip off the paint or do any painting......most people dont put a clear coat on top of the kit either). but having it painted on sure would look better (as long as its done well), and would probably be more durable. dunno, its up to you
Definitely Amber-O-Flage, preferably in full Technicolor :32:
And Yeah, replace that unsightly Gibson logo with something cool, Dave can surely help ya there ( A month ago I´d have bet money I´d never say that, but Elderly was the straw that broke the camel´s back, one of 2 is already gone and the one that´s still here has a heavy personal sentimental value, so it got lucky)
Now I need a Jackson Explorer and a PRS Singlecut :headbang:
actually some genius had painted it barney purple, body neck headstock and all. it's been srtipped down to barewood now. i got a dyed holly peghead overlay and inlayed pearl gibson logo and put the little gold les paul model decal on it(for a standard look, it was originally a studio lite).
by the way, i am in the dark about what is going on with gibson and elderly. i havent heard anything about it. would someone tell me or at least throw a link up here so i can read about it.
