Pick up Advice

I have a HSH Ibanez Jem body and I'm trying to configure the pick ups. The problem is, I SUCK at that. I'm not a speed player. I play rhythm and play songs from bands like AC/DC, Motley Crue, Scorpions, etc...

I like a good beefy tone but one that doesn't overpower. I like the Screamin Demon, but am unsure about the other 2. I'd really appreciate any advice or suggestions that anyone wants to throw at me.

Thanks...

Re: Pick up Advice

Where's the Demon going? The bridge?
How about a Quarter Pound single and a 59n?

Re: Pick up Advice

Sounds like you play classic rock

Any of these would work for you

Bridge: JB, Custom 5, Distortion
Middle: Classic Stack, Quarter Pound
Neck: 59, Jazz

Re: Pick up Advice

The best and most versatile bridge pickup I’ve used is the DiMarzio Imperium. It’s medium-hot, very big and full sounding, but super clear, even under obscene gain and tuned way down (great for standard, too). It is not a PAF in the slightest, though.
