Re: Pick which speaker?

Well, from your list I've only ever even heard of Eminence legends. But, "legend" is a series of speakers. Some I like, some not so much. I think if you can get Eminence Legend GB12s, you'll be very happy. One of my favorite speakers. I've also heard Legend V12s before and they're "okay" IMO, but not as nice as the GB12s.

Oh wait, they must all be 10" speakers? Duh! :dunce: I'm sorry, you can probably disregard what I've said. I don't know much about 10 inchers! :smack:

any eminence similiar for 10"?
it's suit for rock and metal?

Re: Pick which speaker?

the celestion vintage 10 is a cool speaker, lots of meat for a 10". doesnt sound anything like an old jensen which can be a good thing for rock

Re: Pick which speaker?

I have a quad of Legend 105s. This cab handles up to 300 watts. These speakers are perfect for a modern tone, and they can handle endless amounts of volume and gain from my 35w amp. The Legend 102 speakers from Eminence are better for when "vintage" tone is desired. They are intended as aftermarket replacements for classic Fenders. Even in that case, I would prefer 105s because I prefer modern-sounding speakers.

Re: Pick which speaker?

wow. celestion and eminence added confused to choose one. :9:
so cause vintage 10 good and eminence good too.

Re: Pick which speaker?

eminence is the best bang for the buck!try the eminence site for their tonechart and sound clips.

i see. could u give me eminence advice or option.
thx

Re: Pick which speaker?

Those Tone Tubby speakers seem pretty awesome. Eminence happens to have some hemp cone speakers also, and they cost less.

Re: Pick which speaker?

I replaced a Legend 10" with a Celestion Vintage-10 and like the Celestion better for most everything except clean. I've also got a TT Hempcone ceramic 10" for clean in my home recording rig with low-watt tube amps. I can go to either of those speakers with the flick of a switch -BUT- I never use anything but my Celestion Blue 12"; that speaker is way, WAY better sounding for everything! It's worth the extra $.
