It's like a transparent white or light honey kinda' color....see the link below for some bigger pics.

I was thinking of a black or maybe even a black pearloid guard, but this looks kinda' cool too.

Re: Pickguard Option:

Looks like some nice hand tooled leather there Tex.

I like simple, but would go black out of those two.

Re: Pickguard Option:

I was thinking the black one....

I've got the same designed hardware.....I think I'm gonna throw that on there & just a plain black guard.

Nothing like a little Tele bling!!!

I have the Wilkinson adjustable compensated vintage Tele saddles on mine though.

Dood....if yer gonna bling it out, you gotta go with ALL the bling. The hardware and the picguard. Don't be a sissy.

Re: Pickguard Option:

GOOD GRIEF!!! Now were talking! With that ornate hardware, the scratchplate is a must. You shoulda shown us that earlier. With that bling, it's good and proper...

Show us pics when it's all done...it's gonna be gorgeous. . . . . . . .

Re: Pickguard Option:

You don't think the hardware & the "scratchplate" (I love that!) would be WAY too much????

Re: Pickguard Option:

Umm, no. If you flame your hot-rod, you do the sides and the bonnet too. Go big or go home... You can always go plain on the scratchplate if you back out... just keep it handy

Re: Pickguard Option:

That looks like Eldorado's work. If you play Country that guitar is gonna Kick Butt!!! I have a good friend that would love that guitar. He is a Country Surf kinda player.

Re: Pickguard Option:

most deffinately!

you have pics of your other tele (if u still even have it...the one that had the ash tray as the bridge plate thing...)?
