pickup advice for an LTD ec-256

Hello fellow musicians, I just picked up a LTD-256 Cherryburst B-Stock for a very good price ($150.00) and pretty sure it beats the Rose brand guitar that I'm playing right now. You have probably had this question repeated and answered adnauseum, but the threads I'm finding online are kind of old and right now I need a can't miss because I'm on a very tight budget right now and buying some Duncans and have them not work out would be disastrous (lol) not really but I'm sure you get the point by now. Is it possible nowadays to pick a can't miss for Neck/Bridge combo that might make this thin mahogany body guitar thick and as close as possible to a nice Gibson humbucker tone. If it even matters, music I play is anywhere from Stones, Zep, Rush, GnR to Alice in Chains.

For what you are playing i feel vintage neck and medium output bridge would work well

I really like the 59/custom hybrid in the bridge

Maybe a 59 or pearly gates in the neck

What amp are you using?

it's not the loudest or greatest but it makes this $80 guitar i have with horrible horrible action sound pretty damn good, it's a 15 watt all tube Fender Princeton.

Welcome aboard!

I've always liked a JB/Bridge '59/Neck combo in Les Pauls and LP type mahogany guitars. The JB isn't for everyone though. Lots will complain about the mid spike. Me, I like it. Cuts through a live mix like a knife.

The earlier Korean EC-400AT came stock with the SD JB/'59 combo if memory serves me correct. It's basically the same guitar as your EC-256.
