Pickup Choices for Budget Strat Project

hi - first post,

i have a Vintage Modified Strat that i am replacing the pickups and trem bridge.

I also sanded of the Poly Coat and the faux satin looks pretty cool.

Pickups:

i was looking at the Everything Axe loaded pickguard, but had second thoughts.

The retailer i'm working with suggested the Classic Stack Plus set.

STK-S4 pickups

This loaded guard will have a coil tap switch and a FRONT ON switch.

I'm looking for less noise, and i'm on the fence with the tone - an aggressive Strat perhaps?.

And to admit to succumbing to magnet-voodoo, the Everything Axe ceramics kind of turned me off.

Thoughts or recommendations?

How "budget" are we talking? I recently ordered a set of $60 Jimi set, and they get good reviews. Of STKs are in your price range, I'd go STK-S7 neck, STK-S4 middle, and STK-S6 bridge.

i meant the guitar itself is budget.

i don't mind spending some $$$ on the pups.

I am considering this a test bed of sorts for a future custom build.

Thanks for the STK recommendation.

I get the Everything Axe Guard today, i will try it out and see.

I am looking for as hum-free as possible, hence the Everything and Classic Stacks.
