I have a pelham blue les paul like the attached one. I want to replace the bridge with an uncovered pickup DiMarzio PAF 59, but I can't decide between double cream or double black. What do you guys think?

Cream would look cool if you were going for the classic 80s "The store only had the pickup in a single color" look, the only thing it would match is the binding. Black would match the best Black powder coated could look cool.

Here's some quick mockups I did. Black powder coated would be cool So I'll do one of those too

Of the mockups you did, the cream is a bit more interesting to me, but I don't think either looks better than the original nickel cover.

So I did two more mockups, and I think I'm going to go for double nickel even though the screws don't match.

I think black matches the plastics the best, but looks kind of cheap. I think cream looks the coolest because it looks custom, but it doesn't fit 100%. I think filtertrons are a cool idea but I'm not completely gelling with it. I think nickel overall looks the best, and from a distance would look stock, but at a closeup it would make it look like I have more than a Les Paul that some millionaire told Epiphone to Make the same as all their other higher end guitars but with two-tone knobs.
