Pickup Dimensions question?

HI guys i got a pickup Dimensions question. I currently have a Jackson DXMG with a floyd rose and an Epiphone Fly V with a tune-o-matic. I have fitted the EMG-ZW set in my Jackson and so i was left with the stock pickups which were the EMG-HZ's so, NOT to put to waste i wanted to try the EMG-HZ's in my Epiphone. BUT FOR SOME reason the EMG-hz don't FIT in my Pickguard for my Fly V. Is it me or are there pickups for Tune-o-matic and pickups for Floyd roses? How do i know which pickup is for which ? I AM REALLY confused as i though pickups come in one standard dimension.

Thanks!

Re: Pickup Dimensions question?

There are different sizes for FR and TOM bridges, but i would think the HZs would fit because i thought they only came in one size since they are rail pickups. Just file out the pickgaurd a little till the fit. Duncan has Regular and Trembucker pickups, trembuckers are for bridge position in tremolo guitars. I dont know much about EMG though.

Re: Pickup Dimensions question?

Hi YJM_Rocks, i have tried fitting in the EMG intot the FLY but the pickup as just .5cm or more to fit on the pickguard. No wonder i never saw a person who has a Fly V with EMG's .... What do you mean by file?

Thanks!
