Pickup Discrepancies?

I have two JB's I bought at the same time last year but there are noticeable differences. One is tight and hot and the other is a bit weaker and noisier. Same electronics, same 4.2 lb alder bodies with maple necks. It still sounds like the same pickup but you can tell them apart. Then not too long ago I bought two Custom Custom trembuckers for similar builds. They're different too. One is noisy and the other isn't. Same story with the hardware and woods. If they're from the same dealer bought from the same order what are the chances something would be different in the manufacturing process, or is it just the way it is?

Just as a test, do they measure differently DC resistance-wise on a meter? Not that it explains the specific differences you are experiencing, but would indicate some difference, likely due to tolerances, in manufacturing.

Yeah, I'd be interesed to know the DCR readings. Did you happen to store one of them near a strong magnet?
