Pickup for a weird guitar

So I just bought this crazy Minarik Inferno guitar. Seems at least decent quality, not high end but not a cheapie either....it has a JB in the bridge and a Jazz in the neck. OK with the Jazz, but I know that I won't want the JB as its too hot for my tastes.

This guitar is chambered to some degree (they don't say how or where) otherwise it might weight 30 lb; instead its about 9 lbs. So in looking for another bridge pickup, what specific characteristics might I look for given the chambered, more resonant body? Mids are not your friend? For example, in 335 guitars you almost always see PAF types, and never mid heavy pickups.

Yeah a LOT of choices but trying to eliminate certain ones. But I guess you really don't know what works until you try them in the guitar...

lower output than a jb and mid scooped sounds like a c5 to me. if you want paf output, then id go 59b. matches well with the jazz and sounds like a good a5 paf.

I'd say anything in the PAF-output range. What kind of EQ do you like?

definitely want less mids, more open sounding. Besides the 59B, what other low output pickup pairs well with the Jazz?

The Jazz bridge goes well with a Jazz neck. One of my favorite sets.

Does the Jazz bridge handle dirt well? Nothing heavy, just looking for edge of breakup sounds, maybe a bit more for leads..

Yeah, it does. There are a few people here that love the Jazz in the bridge.

the jazz bridge is a great pup! paf level output but different eq, a little more modern and balanced sounding than a 59b. like em both a lot though

So after getting the guitar, its got this resonate, hollow sound that a semi-hollow has, and its different than a 335 type hollow body. Either its weird to me or it just has it's own thing. Doesn't sound bad, but even the Jazz in the neck has that strong, strident midrange honk I find unappealing. The JB actually sounds better in the bridge, even though it's hotter than I want.

So guess its matter of finding the right PAF scooped mid sound that counters that hollow sound resonate midrange...
