Hello!
I thight you might be tired of the question "what pickup should I buy?" But i am sorry, I have no experience of pickups and i gotta ask you this question anyway. I'm sorry
.
I recently got an NJ series Bc Rich Mockingbird that i think sound great acoustic but just gets to muddy while on gain, and just doesn't do the tone for me. It is indeed the infamous Bc Rich BSDM bucker.
The body is made of some kind of mahogny (Agathis, Nato? I don't know.) (Which some say is closer to alder tone-wise) It's got maple top and an ebony fretboard. I also believe that the neck is maple.
I am thinking of replacing both bridge and neck pup and i want a more defined sound, less mud, still fatter (especially in neck pos where i might be considering the AIIP) I want lots of screaming overtones and heavy overall sound. I can't be too ear-piercing/harsch/shrill. I'm thinking to get more of a trash sound out of the bridge bucker and more warm classic rock trough the neck, preferable with pups that also matches well to make a good middle pos etc.
I realise that it might be quite hard to fit all these preferences in and that everyone has different tastes according of "what is too what". But please help a newbie that want to make his first electric scream
Thanks in advance// Tichy
