Hi
I'm in the process of designing and building a Precision Bass from Warmoth parts. My musical style is rock and blues as ZZ Top, Lynard Skynard and SRV.
My amp is the Ampeg SVT-CL with 810E Cab.
Specifications for the bass:
'55 tele bass or standard P-Bass. (Depending on pickup)
Swamp Ash body
Maple neck with maple fingerboard
Passive electronics
I like the looks of the 55 Tele bass, but is not sure how much the missing hum cancelling of the pick-ups is gonna be a problem?
For both type of basses there are the "vintage", "hot" and "quarter-pounder" versions of the pickups.
As I read the Duncan website all models might fit my needs, so what is it gonna be????
Help is highly appreciated
