What would someone recommend, as far as pickups, what would be good for an epiphone SG special? I like to play punk, hardcore, and rock. Sort of more melodic stuff.

Did you try the Tone Wizard first, read the "how to pick a pickup", read the descriptions of the pickups, and listen to the audio samples?
