Pickup Recomendations

Hi all.

I just picked up an Ibanez AS83VLS Hollow-body at Ash for $350 and love it. Beautifully finished and setup. While the ACH pups sound pretty good, I was looking for recomendations for replacements like possibly Gibson 57's or SD Seth Lovers. Am I on the right track? Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

Go for the Seths...they're nicer sounding than the 57 Classics. The 57 Classics are good pickups but the Seths are smoother, more complex and not quite as metallic sounding. My Les Paul came with 57 Classics...I liked them OK but the Seths are nicer. Lew

Thanks Lew. I guess you are recommending Seth neck and bridge? I hear great things about the neck pup. does the bridge still have a little rock and roll bite to it?

Thanks KB. I guess I'm after a typical ES335 type sound. I find the current pups nice but slightly hard and metallic.
