Pickup search for hard rock/ metal

Re: Pickup search for hard rock/ metal

You're still doing it bro :p

JB is one of (if not) the most popular humbuckers in the SD line. It is mainly used in the bridge.

Same applies for the '59, but in the neck.

However, this combo might be a bit too soft for your tastes. You've given us specifics of your guitar (somewhat...), but what about your tastes? Name some bands that have tone you're into.

I'd personally suggest a Distortion combo. While it may not give decent cleans, it has the best, most balanced metal tone. If that's too high output, try a Full Shred or Screamin' Demon in the neck and a Custom in the bridge.

I'm looking for the absolute highest output humbucker that duncan makes.
Livewire Heavy Metal......don't expect to get any type of clean sound though. Those things will feedback on a clean channel...lol

I was looking around and I saw a new sh-6 distortion mayhem combo. It consists of a sh-6 for the bridge and the neck.

The sh-10 full shred? It sound like a bridge pup to me.
..If you'd "look around" more, you'll see it's available in both bridge and neck models - Just like the distortion.
